Grass Livery

Grass for horses in work, etc.  Placed near yards if possible horses can change livery up to Part or Full no DIY at this yard. Horse can be kept in for the occasionally we will turn out, change rugs, muck out and feed.

- horses/ponies over 14hh £28

Grass £21 Retired or young horses away from yards.

Horses checked daily and given hay, haylage or straw, by staff as required.  Tie up areas are available at all yards or use the blacksmith area to tie up if empty.  Owners of horses at grass may be asked to lift droppings when grazing is restricted and also in the small paddocks by the yards.

Add-ons per week:

Box - £10

Straw for occasional night, e.g. bad weather/show - £2

Part Livery - basic price per week (includes haylage)

Basic Part £55 - bedding (bedding other than straw is extra), hay/haylage, horses rugged, turned out and brought in Monday-Friday, own feed left out is given.

Part & Feed £60  As for Basic Part, but yard feed included.

Additional charges when required priced per day - these options must asked for in for advance to arrange for extra staff if needed.

Rugs changed, feet picked out £2

Rugs changed, brushed off, feet picked out £3

Rug and turn out £3

Bring in £3

Groomed, mane and tail brushed £5

Groomed, mane and tail washed £10

Any other extras will be charged for as staff time.

All liveries are welcome to take hay/haylage to feed their horse while tied on yards, but please tidy up afterwards.

Additional Services

Blacksmith, dentist and vet will be charged as staff time.

Lessons available.

Feeding times and procedures

All horses are given a morning feed 7.30 a.m. and evening feed  6pm. Owners own feed to be left out at box for staff. If you are riding  please leave a note in message column of book, and hard feed will be left out.
